Bad Breakfast

Verse 1:

I woke up this morning feeling kinda blue

Dragging my feet to the kitchen, I knew just what I needed to do.

A good old breakfast of eggs, toast and bacon

But when I looked at my toaster, my heart was breaking.

Chorus:

Broken toaster, runny eggs, burnt bacon

It’s a bad start to the day.

What else can I say?

Broken toaster, runny eggs, burnt bacon

feeling shaken, by this meal.

I need some time to heal.

I need a little bit of breakfast to brighten my day.

But it’s hard to see light, when all I feel is gray.

Verse 2:

I thought maybe I could fix the toaster, but it wasn’t to be

Feeling defeated, I sat down to eat.

The eggs were too runny, the toast was just crummy bread

And the charred, burnt bacon drove me crazy-nuts in my head

Chorus:

Broken toaster, runny eggs, burnt bacon

It’s a bad start to the day.

What else can I say?

Broken toaster, runny eggs, burnt bacon

feeling shaken, by this meal.

I need some time to heal.

I need a little bit of breakfast to brighten my day.

But it’s hard to see light, when all I feel is gray.

Bridge:

Sometimes life throws you a curveball, and you have to adapt

Maybe tomorrow will be better, cause today was just crap

But small things ain’t gonna bring me down,

I keep my head up high

You never know what good things might come, if you try—again.

Chorus:

Broken toaster, runny eggs, burnt bacon

It was a bad start to the day.

What else can I say?

Broken toaster, runny eggs, burnt bacon

felt shaken, by that meal.

I think it’s time to heal.

I needed a little bit of breakfast to brighten my day.

I know I’m gonna see the light, after the gray.

Outro:

So if you wake up and your day is trash

Remember that it won’t last

Life is full of ups and downs, and evil clowns, and lots of frowns.

Don’t be afraid!

Don’t let the bad breakfast grind you down

Chicken and Waffles

Verse 1:

There’s a girl I know, she’s got a special kind of love

For something that not everyone, not everyone thinks of

She’s crazy about chicken and waffles, don’t you see?

It’s her favorite meal, it makes her so happy

Chorus:

Chicken and waffles, oh it’s such a big delight

Crispy and savory, with sweet syrup just so right

The perfect combination, her taste buds ignite

Chicken and waffles, it’s her favorite sight

Verse 2:

She wakes up every morning, with a big smile on her face

Thinking about the crispy chicken, that soon she will embrace

And those fluffy waffles, so warm and so sweet

A breakfast like this, no it really can’t be beat

Chorus:

Chicken and waffles, oh it’s such a big delight

Crispy and savory, with sweet syrup just so right

The perfect combination, her taste buds ignite

Chicken and waffles, it’s her favorite sight

Bridge:

Some may call her strange, but she doesn’t care

For this delicious meal, she’ll always be there

Even if others don’t understand

Chicken and waffles, will always be in demand

Chorus:

Chicken and waffles, oh it’s such a big delight

Crispy and savory, with sweet syrup just so right

The perfect combination, her taste buds ignite

Chicken and waffles, it’s her favorite sight

Outro:

So if you’re ever feeling down or blue

Just remember there’s a girl who loves her food too

Chicken and waffles, it’s her love affair

A meal that brings her joy, beyond compare.

Coffee Song

Verse 1:

She said:

“Wake up, it’s time for work.”

I said:

“Will you make me coffee?

“I can’t get out of bed,

“Without it. Honey please!”

She said:

“Do you want creamer?”

I said:

“Yes, French Vanilla!

“A Big, warm cup of coffee,

“Will get me going today.

“Oh, boy. Here it comes!”

Chorus:

And she said:

“Here you go. Fresh, hot coffee.

“Like you said, French Vanilla Creamer,

“Steaming hot, Medium Roast,

“To wake you up.

“Here you go, Fresh, hot coffee.

“Like you said, French Vanilla Creamer,

“Steaming hot, Columbian roast,

“To wake you up.”

“Oh, snap! I’m going to be late for work.”

Verse 2:

She said:

“Here’s your cup of coffee,

“In a spill-proof mug to go.

“Take a sip. Get moving,

“Down the road just like you know.

“Hurry, it’s time to leave!

“Don’t wait around to say goodbye.

“Go to work, and pay the bills.

“Hope your coffee doesn’t spill!”

Outro:

“It’s time to go to work!

“Hurry, Drink your coffee.

“Running in the race of life.

“Taking care of kids and wife.

“Coffee, Coffee, Coffee.

“Start your day!”

The Cafe

Verse 1:

In a quiet cafe, in Chicago, morning light so pale,

Lonely soul, stares out the window,

watching the drizzling rain.

And a table for one, tells the tale.

Sips his coffee, eats his meal in solitude,

Breakfast for one in a lonely, morning mood.

Chorus:

Eyes wander, lost in thoughts unsaid,

Silverware clinks, a story unfolds in his head.

Steam rises from the coffee and warms his face.

Loneliness lingers in this quiet space.

Verse 2:

But the world outside keeps rushing by,

As he savors pancakes with a heavy sigh.

A solitary life, a solo tune,

Alone in the cafe, with his fork and spoon.

Chorus:

And the people come in from the cold.

Drinking coffee and saying hello.

And as he talks with a stranger by the door,

He feels a warmth he’s known somewhere before.
